2014 / Cheil Canada / Samsung Canada. Whenever the big hero products launched for Samsung, there would be a few select people in the industry that might get a special package and a new device. These small run DM pieces were always great to work on because, although the quantities were low, the client still needed them to be high-end quality.
I was asked to design and produce a VIP package for the Galaxy TAB S launch in Canada. The result was a very sleek slide out tray box with a lock, so the tray and device wouldn’t fall out. The entire corrugate substrate was covered with a printed matte vinyl for a really nice touch, feel and durability. An enclosed letter which covered the device itself, and once the device and foam insert were removed, the recipient could access their charger and cable from the neatly tucked away compartment in the frame.
